Next event will be June 21st featuring wines from J Vineyards.
 

You’re invited to a culinary experience…

 

Once each month  Chef Carla and her team offer a unique five course dinner.  Each course…from salad to dessert… is carefully planned and paired with a selection of wines from a variety of wine vendors.  It’s an after hours event featuring items not offered on our typical menu but comparable to the cuisine of fine restaurants in the vast Charlotte metropolitan area.

This month we’ve added a little twist.  Rather than featuring five wines we will be pairing each course with an exciting cider from Blake’s Hard Cider.

Guests are served each course with a description of the entree.  Representatives from vineyards and distributors join us to share background of each wine and why it was paired with the entree.  Guests are also given an opportunity to order bottles of each wine at prices well below retail rates.

Cider

GRIZZLY PEAR

Our first pear hard cider, Grizzly melds soft notes of pear & prickly pear cactus balanced with a sharp apple finish with a hint of elderflower. No bears were harmed in the making of this product.

Ginger Tuna Poke over Blistered Sesame Ginger Shishito Peppers

Cider:

FLANNEL MOUTH

Blake’s Flannel Mouth is made with a wide array of late season table and dessert apples. This succulent combination gives it a sweet flavor than finishes incredibly smoothly.

Entree:

Filet Mignon Cone with Rosemary Horseradish Pickle Tomato and Onion with Fresh Queso Fresco

 

Cider:

WILD NOVA

Deep-red in color and bursting with ripe flavor, Wild Nova is made from hand-pressed late harvest Nova raspberries, grown here on Blake Farms. The two month long ferment, in contact with the berries, gives the cider the full expression of that fresh picked taste.

Blueberry Mint and Cucumber Salad topped with Spicy grilled Blackened Shrimp

Cider:

 BEARD BENDER

Blake’s Beard Bender is a 100% natural hard cider. It’s funny – when nothing’s added, you taste the true characteristics of the apple. Not for the faint of heart, Beard Bender packs a punch not expected from hard cider. Derived from a variety of Bittersweet and Bittersharp apples. Beard Bender is tart, crisp and amazingly drinkable.
